Introduction to yacht driver's license
Having a yacht driver's license sounds flashy. Currently, many people in Shanghai, Xiamen, Qingdao, Sanya and other places consider driving yachts as their profession. More and more people in coastal cities are considering global navigation as their pursuit. Take your family on a sea trip with you on the weekend, enjoy the stunning sea view in the center of the ocean, play fishing, or go for a sea dive.
To apply for a yacht driving license, you do not need to have aquatic qualifications. Anyone aged 18-65 can apply, and the tuition fee is around 10000 to 20000 yuan. Just like obtaining a driver's license, the applicant's physical condition still needs to meet certain standards: corrected vision needs to be at least 4.9, no color blindness, color weakness, good hearing, and no obstacles in oral expression and limb movement. Yacht driver's license training is currently divided into continuous training classes and weekend classes. In general, the training time for attending centralized training classes is about 9-13 days. If attending weekend classes, it takes more than a month of training time. Crew members who pass the exam can drive yachts on the sea or inland waters with their yacht driving license!
The training process for a yacht driver's license is similar to a car driver's license, starting with theoretical training and then participating in practical operations. Theoretical training includes basic knowledge such as navigation rules and maritime laws and regulations, yacht navigation, maneuvering, collision avoidance, mechanical propulsion power devices, safety knowledge, and water survival skills. The practical operation training includes ten aspects, including starting and closing the mechanical propulsion power device, berthing and disembarking from the dock, approaching and mooring, disembarking from the buoy, anchoring operations, navigation (acceleration, direction change, high-speed directional navigation), snake navigation around the buoy (5 buoys), rescuing drowning personnel, basic first aid, use of life-saving and firefighting equipment, and common knot tying methods. If you already hold a crew competency certificate, you can skip the theoretical exam and directly participate in yacht practical operation training.
